UMMAT DAILY ■ The house of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD in Pamekasan, East Java, was visited by a crowd, on Monday (1/12).
In the viral video recording on social media, it is known that the mass action, which numbered around a hundred people, was related to the attitude of the government and legal officials who processed the crowd involving Habib Rizieq Shihab.
"The residents of Pamekasan did not accept Habib Rizieq Shihab's summons by the police," explained one person in the video.
However, the police confirmed that the action did not cause any damage or injury.
"The demonstration only lasted about 5 minutes, after we urged the masses to get back on their vehicles and leave," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko when confirmed by the media crew.
Even though there were no victims in the action, he appealed to the people of East Java not to be provoked by appearing on social media.
