UMMAT DAILY ■ The Muhammadiyah Central Leadership asked the security apparatus, in this case the police, to conduct an investigation regarding the video of the jihad call to prayer that went viral on YouTube social media.
The 47-second short video was published on Sunday (29/11).
"The security apparatus can carry out investigations and block it so that the video call to prayer does not spread further and disturbs the public," said PP Muhammadiyah Secretary General Prof. Abdul Mu'ti in Jakarta, Monday (30/11).
Abdul Mu'ti said that he had never found a hadith as the basis for the call to prayer like in the video.
"I have not found the hadith on which to base the call to prayer. I also don't know what the purpose of the call to prayer is, ”said Abdul Mu'ti.
In addition, Abdul also asked the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) to immediately step in to follow up on this issue.
Furthermore, he appealed to mass organizations not to be influenced and to stick to straight Islamic guidance.
