UMMAT DAILY ■ Community leader in Jayawijaya District, Papua Province Hengky Heselo asked the police to investigate groups that spread slander and disturb the unity of the Republic of Indonesia through social media in Papua.

Hengky Heselo said that the group continued to disrupt cyberspace and spread slander for disturbing security and order in Papua.

“Fiktor Yeimo's accusation against Paulus Waterpau who admitted to crimes against humanity is baseless. That person must be processed. There must be legal action against the person concerned for his statement, "he said in Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya Regency, on Friday (27/11/20).

According to Hengky, the statement posted on social media could disrupt the social security situation in Papua.

"So that we state (he) must be processed, cannot or not. It must be a criminal process or take legal action against it, "he said.

In his statement, said Hengki, it was stated that a Papuan figure, Paulus Waterpau who is also the Papua Police Chief, played a role in the shootout that took place in Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua.

Regarding the shooting, the security forces also protected themselves. If you are shot by an armed criminal group (KKB), then you cannot just ignore it,"he said. .

He also said a number of figures in Jayawijaya supported the continuation of the Special Autonomy program in Papua because it had an impact on changes in people's welfare. (pen / R-01)
